Kaylee Anderson is an Aboriginal woman and community member from Wiradjuri, Yorta Yorta/Bangerang Countries in New South Wales and Victoria.
Kaylee is driven by the cultural values and morals of her matriarchal linage. She has worked in Aboriginal Affairs for the past 17 years across the public, not-for-profit, Aboriginal community controlled, and private sectors.
With a passion for equality and self-determination, she has built her career with roles that have community outcomes at the forefront. Her interest in health, social justice and culture centered design has diversified her experience and provided her the opportunity to work with Indigenous communities across Australia.
Kaylee has industry experience in architecture and urban and landscape design. She has a comprehensive understanding of major infrastructure projects and has led Traditional Owner collaborations that elevate cultural wisdom, protect Country, and forge long-term relationships.
With postgraduate qualifications, Kaylee approaches business development and policy development analytically to achieve sustainable outcomes. Her years of experience and go-getter attitude can transform companies into inclusive, diverse organisations that navigate the landscape with ease.
Kaylee is the Victorian Director for the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Womens Alliance (NATSIWA) and a newly formed Indigenous women’s foundation that will launch in 2023. Kaylee is passionate and dedicated to Indigenous women’s empowerment and improving outcomes to promote gender equality. In 2023, Kaylee was selected to form part of the official Australian Government Delegation for the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Her United Nations journey to improve gender equality for Indigenous women and girls around the world will continue in 2024 and beyond.
Kaylee is the Director of the Indigenuity Lab.
